Sublimation print on San Leucio damask fabric, Damascena fragrance, 61 x 83 cm
Dama-scena is a sublimation print on damask fabric from the Royal Silk Factory of San Leucio. A digitally manipulated analog photograph, taken at the Botanical Garden of Naples, is printed onto the textile. The fabric is further infused with another human inversion of nature — the scent of the Damask rose, Rosa damascena — reinforcing the dialogue between man and the natural world.
