Fuga echoes the musical structure of the fugue, a polyphonic composition in which themes develop and reemerge anew across multiple voices. The video reworks footage from the Orto botanico di Napoli (the Botanical Garden of Naples), shot in digital and on 8 mm film. Scenes of irrigation, experimentation on plants, and grafting techniques explore the cycles and rhythms of human practices in relation to the natural world. The gaming monitor is supported by a snare drum stand and interacts with the rhythmic sound of mechanical irrigation from the Orto botanico di Napoli.
