Fuga echoes the musical structure of the fugue, a polyphonic composition in which themes develop and reemerge anew across multiple voices. The video reworks footage from the Botanical Garden of Naples, shot in digital and on Super 8 film. Scenes of irrigation, experimentation on plants, and grafting techniques explore the cycles and rhythms of human practices in relation to the natural world. The gaming monitor is supported by a snare drum stand and interacts with the rhythmic sound of mechanical irrigation from the Botanical Garden of Naples.
