In Lofoten, a drone circles a rorbu, a traditional Norwegian fishermen’s seasonal dwelling, tracing its architecture and the rituals taking place inside. The interior resembles a greenhouse on fire: a green landscape with white smoke projected from a place far away creates a foreign climate within the Norwegian darkness. In the window, three forms of vegetation appear through different gestures; a projected landscape, dried grass stems, and a curated bonsai tree. Smoke rises from within, yet the building remains intact. A searching helicopter sound, recorded elsewhere, suggests a displaced act of seeking.
