Flowery Years consists of eight one-take shots capturing the ascent of Monte Solaro, the highest peak of Capri. The camera sporadically guides the viewer’s gaze from a bird’s-eye perspective, navigating a regenerative terrain. The scenes are lit by daylight while accompanied by nocturnal sound recordings of birds, katydids, and searching helicopters.
